Parent to Parent Informal Meetings:

Please join us for the informal Parent to Parent Meetings.  These informal meetings are held once a month or as needed through the school year. We try to conduct the meetings either at a local coffee shop such as Panera's in Franklin in the morning or we are willing to conduct them in the evening based on availability.  It is our hope that these meetings will provide a comfortable setting for Parents/Guardians to share, learn and exchange information, which will prove beneficial not only to our children with disabilities, but to our families, educators and all students in the community.  If you have questions or concerns about special education and your child and you are not sure where to start, feel free to drop in.  If you have been trying to navigate the system on your own and just need some support, we are here!

For more information on these discussion groups please contact call Terri Morgan at 508-541-747 or email FranklinSEPAC@gmail.com.

We are excited to announce that fellow parent and new member, Meagan Krasner, of SEPAC is a Board Certified Genetic Counselor. With her knowledge of many of the conditions that our families are dealing with, she may be a good person to talk to if you simply don't feel like always having to explain your child's diagnosis first. Anything you want to discuss with her would be kept confidential, of course, but please note that she cannot provide medical advice.  However, she is happy to help you find a genetic counselor for an appointment, find a support group for your child's diagnosis, help understand something confusing about the diagnosis, help you write a letter to your insurance company or just be there if you need to vent.  She is planning on attending as many of the informal meetings as possible and has also offered to answer questions by email or telephone. If you would like to contact her.  Meagan can be reached at 508-528-9217 or meagankrasner@comcast.net
