EFFECTIVE JULY 10, 2012 ONLINE PAYMENTS FOR TRANSPORTATION ARE NO LONGER BEING ACCEPTED FOR THE 2012-2013 SCHOOL YEAR. PAYMENT MUST BE MADE BY CHECK OR MONEY ORDER.


The 2012-2013 Transportation Policy is as follows:
1 All students in grades K through 6 who reside more than 2.0 miles from their assigned schools will be bused free of charge.
1 Students in grades 7 through 12 are not eligible for free bus transportation.



The cost per child is $325.00 with a cap of $975.00 per family. Applications must be received before June 1, 2012. First payment (˝ or full) will be due at the time of enrollment. The second payment (balance) will be due by July 9, 2012*.
The Pay To Ride Program enrollment period is available now thru June 1, 2012. Students who enroll during this time period will be guaranteed bus seats. The only exceptions to this deadline will be for families who move in Franklin (or relocate within Franklin after June 1, 2012). Parents who do not meet the June 1st regular enrollment deadline will be placed on a waiting list and will have a second opportunity to enroll their child/children on a space available basis as of September 26, 2012.

1 Check or Money Order (payable to “Town of Franklin”)
2 MasterCard or Discover, only payable online and subject to a convenience fee.

  • For student ID information, please contact your child’s school. You will need this to pay online.

  • 3 Electronic Check. Online payment by electronic check is not subject to any fee.

    For your convenience, a payment kiosk is located on the 2nd floor of the School Administration Office at:
    355 East Central St.
    Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, 7:30am – 4pm
    Wednesday 7:30am – 6pm.

    Bus passes may be picked up at your child’s school the week of August 27 – 31, 2012.
