Seasonal Concerns
Warm/Hot Weather Concerns-
-Most teachers will allow student’s to bring water bottles to keep at their desks. Please send in water for your child as needed. This is especially important on gym days.
-Students are requestednot to wear “flip-flop” sandals. There is a potential for accidents on the stairs, during gym class, and at recess.
Cold Weather Concerns-
-Students will be going out for recess unless it is very cold. It is imperative that you send your child to school with the proper clothes so that they can enjoy their recess time. All students need a warm winter coat, hat, mittens or gloves, and boots. They will be able to have even more fun in the snow if they have snow pants with them. If a student does not have snow pants with them they will not be allowed in the snow at recess and must play on the blacktop.
-If possible, please pack an extra pair of socks in your child’s backpack, as students wearing boots often come in from recess with wet socks.
