Open Circle

Welcome

Open Circle is a social competency program. Students learn appropriate behavior in numerous social settings. Click on this link to find out more: Open Circle Web Site

Below are students demonstrating a few of the skills we learn about during Open Circle. These non-verbal signals are an effective way to communicate in a school setting. They remind us of how we can show respect to others.

Students know how to show they have something to say. Students are demonstrating the quiet sign. Teachers use this when they need to get everyone's attention.

Students are using the school listening look.

First Graders use the school listening look also.

Here is a non-verbal way to show a speaker that they need to speak louder.
