BBC Children's Web Site	Online games and stories for children from 4 to 16. Children can use measurement and learn about science. Stories for very young children are interactive.
Clifford's Learn and Play	Online learning activities and stories for young readers. Children follow directions to sort objects, look for details in picture and decide what clothing to wear for different weather.
Graphic Organizers	Teach-nology allows you to create your own labels for graphic organizers for students to use as they plan their writing.
Harcourt School	The reading program in the Franklin Public School District is the Harcourt’s Trophies series. You can visit this site to find activities for all subjects and news clips for students.
Houghton Mifflin	Education Place gives games, activities and information for children, parents and teachers. Subjects included are math brainteasers, Language Arts, science and social studies. A Link Library is included that searches for a topic.

Word Central	Merriam-Webster hosts this site to teach children the meaning of words. A rhyming dictionary and regular online dictionary is available for students to search. The site has many activities for children; such as creating their own dictionary.

Ask Jeeves Jr.	This web site allows children to submit questions to be answered by an expert. The site includes links to children’s news websites and games. Study Tools let a child link to a dictionary, almanac, world atlas, thesaurus, history book, math book, biography and science book for reference information.
Citation Machine	This site teaches students how to cite a resource. It gives students a form to type in the citation information from a book, magazine, web site, or many other types of sources. The program then creates the citation for their bibliography. They can copy and paste the citation into their bibliography.
Dewey Decimal System	This web site teaches you about the Dewey Decimal System.

Students can use the site to read interesting information. Searching for a topic provides a list of World Book’s articles with links. Pictures, maps and all articles are easily printed out. Space	This web site is about the planets. It has an easy to use directory with many topics. The print is large with colorful headings to help younger children find information and includes many good pictures
Space Web Quest	This WebQuest has students work with a crew in their class to discover information about the planets. They gather information and share it with the other crews.

Weathernet Classroom	Weathernet Classroom is the Internet site displaying weather data from Oak Street's weather station located on the roof of the school. Student's login to the site by entering their zip code. The site also contains a glossary, articles, maps, and photos of weather related information.

Early American History	This U.S. history site was created by a teacher in Watertown. It aligns with the 5th grade social studies curriculum.
Enchanted Learning	Enchanted Learning has information on many social studies topics. It has a Picture Dictionary, Little Explorers, with links to information and prints outs. Children click on a letter on the top of a page to enter the dictionary. There is also a geography dictionary with printouts of blank maps. At this site has a collection of detailed worksheets of various topics, for example, geography, science and animals. It has a section with numerous activities for pre-school to grade 3, including fun activities for a nursery-rhyme scavenger hunt. You can search by topics for activities. Art resources, music, explorers and a Spanish dictionary are also included.
Famous Bay Staters	Third Grade WebQuest with short biographies of famous people from Massachusetts. This WebQuest is aligned with the History and Social Studies Frameworks of Franklin and the state.

Mexico for Kids WebQuest	A WebQuest for learning about Mexico. Students research geography, history, climate and culture of the country of Mexico.
Mexico Cyberhunt	A Scholastic Cyberhunt to Mexico. Students learn about Mexico as they answer questions and travel to child friendly sites with facts and pictures about Mexico.
National Geographic	National Geographic's website has online activities to learn about geography.
National Geographic for Kids	National Geographic's online magazine for current events and seasonal topics.This is written for early readers.
Open Circle	Open Circle’s Web site with information about the program and links to schools that have Open Circle web pages.
Plimoth Plantation	Plimoth Plantation's online historical activities for children. Go to New Events to find "You are the Historian" to learn how people lived in 1621.
Presidents	Information from about the Constitution, government and elections can be found here. Video and audio clips are available in the “Hall of Presidents”. Students can print out presidential flip cards.
Time for Kids	Students can search for current events and read the articles. Research Tools let students define a word with Merriam Webster’s Dictionary or Ask Jeeves a question.

Puzzlemaker	Students can create their own puzzles and print them out. This is a good study tool or an addition to a project.
Science Fair Central	This is a student guide for creating Science Fair projects. There is a resource section of links and books to help with the projects.
World Atlas	There are many maps of places around the world that can be printed.

Annenberg Learner	Educators can find many resources for web based development and classroom activities. Journey North is an example of an activity that allows students to find Mystery Classes around the world from clues given at the site.
Ask Eric	A federally funded educational Web site from Syracuse University with articles, abstracts and lessons plans. Teachers can submit e-mail questions and receive answers within 2 business days.
Awesome Clip Art for Kids	Free clip for educators to use on worksheets or websites. The clip art I’ve used on this page is from this source. This site also has a puzzle creator for crossword puzzles, cryptograms and word searches that can be created by students or teachers.
Blue Web	This directory is a collection of award winning sites on the Internet. The site has a search component that allows the user to find topics and grade levels.
Educator’s World	This site gives educators current research information, lesson plans, and professional book reviews. The search engine goes only to educational sites.

Filamentality	Filamentality is an easy to use technology tool that allows teachers to compile websites for topics and create interactive Hotlists, Teasure Hunts or Web Quest to put on line with these websites. The benefit of these interactive lists is that the children go only to the teacher’s chosen websites. The Filamentality stores these activities on the Internet so they can be used on any computer. The Hotlist I created for these web sites were done with Filamentality.
Kathy Schrock’s Guide for Educators	Kathy Schrock’s Guide for educators provides useful sites for classroom activities and lessons. Included in the site is Puzzlemaker, to create and save online puzzles, Quiz Center to create quizzes and Worksheet Generator to design your own worksheets. Space is given to teachers to save work online so you can access it at any computer.
Rubric Tool	This site helps you create a simple rubric that you can edit and print out.
Scholastic Cyber Hunts	Cyberhunts for thematic units with interactive research for all grade levels.

The 10 partner sites for Thinkfinity are; Artsedge, EconEdLink, EDSITEment, Illuminations, Literacy Network, ReadWriteThink, Science NetLinks, Smithsonian's History Explorer and National Geographic's Expeditions.
WWW 4 Teachers	This web site includes a wide collection of tools for integrating technology using Track Star. It has some of the easiest interactive tools to help teachers set up rubrics for projects using RubiStar, and write online Quizzes with Quiz Star, to mention only a few available on line tools. Track Maker lets the teacher compile web sites for interactive projects. Up dated information on copyright laws for educators are included as guides for the teacher preparing their online lessons, called tracks. There is a search component for teacher prepared Tracks on a wide variety of subjects.
