Franklin High School offers career guidance and school-to-career coordination with a unique experiential approach. The School-to-Career Office helps students learn about themselves, see how their talents may be needed and applied in the world of work, and find out information about careers and the many pathways to success. Learning with careers in mind can occur through:

  • School-based Learning - classes and workshops, computer research
  • Work-based Learning - internships, jobs, job shadows
  • Connecting Activities - Career fairs and regional school-to-career events

Mrs. Woods is the Career Education Coordinator and Counselor. The School-to-Career Office is located in the front of the school behind the reception area, and it is open during the day and after school to accommodate students and employers. On the office's bulletin board, one will find a variety of information on available student jobs, internships, occupational trends, and upcoming career-related events. Computer resources like Bridges.com and ACT Discover are also available. Feel free to discuss your career interests and needs with Mrs. Woods and while you're at it, ask for an internship or job shadow application! Everyone is welcome and encouraged to visit.

For more information see Mrs. Kathleen Woods, Coordinator / Counselor.
