Student Advisory Council

Welcome

The Regional Student Advisory Council to the State Board of Education is a legislative organization unique to Massachusetts. In March of each year every high school in the state elects two students to attend the monthly regional meetings. They decide what issues concern them most as students. Each year they formulate two or three bills dealing with their rights on the state level. After gaining the support of politicians and lobbying groups, they present the bills to the State Board of Education where bills may be passed into laws.
