Welcome to the Class of 1959of the Class of 1959 Members of Franklin High School Class of 1959 recognized their Golden Graduation Anniversary on Friday, June 5, 2009. The celebration began with a tour of the Davis Thayer Elementary School. This school building was the high school in 1959. The class members then traveled to the Horace Mann Middle School for a garden reception, hosted by the Franklin Public Schools with support from the Alumni Association. Superintendent Wayne Ogden and School Committee Chair Jeffrey Roy presented the class with commemorative diplomas. The Class of 1959 was well represented: Sheila Anderson, Janet Bartel (Class Treasurer), Ronald Bucchanio, Maureen Colella, Joseph Comer, Diane Compton, Alexander DeBaggis, Beth Doherty, Patricia Gratton, Mathew Griffin, Grant "Chip" Longley (Class President), Ronald Longobardi, Curtis Madson, Carl Marguerite, Joyce Marko, Josie McCusker, Barbara Molla, Barbara Ouillette, Sandra Perez, Edna Rinaldi, Anne Ringuette, Jean Ristaino, Patricia Santoro, Jean Taddeo, Lillian Tartaglia, David Varjian, Francis Webber, and Betty Wilson. They continued their celebration on Saturday with a dinner/dance at the Franklin Country Club. It was a wonderful weekend for the Class of 1959.
