Blue – varsity runners

Summary

Captain Mary Cole led the Franklin Panthers to victory over Hockomock League rivals Stoughton and Sharon at a tri-meet held at Houghton’s Pond located at the base of the Blue Hills in Milton. Mary led the race from start to finish. Mary was accompanied by Megan Ross throughout the entire race and the two top Franklin runners finished first and second. Captain Aubree Piepmeier finished 4th in the race and was followed by Alex Giese. Emily Stickles is quickly emerging as an outstanding performer for the Panthers. Emily finished 7th overall and was Franklin’s 5th and final scorer in the meet. New to cross country Rachel Flynn had a good beginning to her season. Rachel finished in the top 10 of her initial varsity race. Freshman Lauren Hagen ran an impressive race also. Lauren is quickly becoming a solid member of this talented Franklin squad.  The Lady Panthers ran their record to 2-0 and will race on Saturday at the McIntyre Invitational at Franklin Park in Boston.
