Meeting Minutes March 9, 2009

Welcome

FHS Lady Panthers Booster Club
Meeting Minutes
March 9, 2009
6:30 pm

Budget –
Discussed budget for 2008-2009 – ends very positive and places the FHS Lady Panthers Booster Club in a very good position for 2009-2010 season. In the future, Coach Leighton would like to purchase video/editing equipment (this is coach’s dream machine) currently used by football coaches. This is costly but very worthwhile investment which will assist in coaching.

FUND RAISERS
Raffles – An excellent fund raiser and well done. Thanks to Steve Doherty who donated the red sox tickets, collected raffle ticket money etc.

OTHER

Banquet – The scheduled date is Sunday, March 15, at 5:30 pm at the High School cafeteria. Barbara Corak will chair this event. Thanks Barbara for arranging this event! Tickets will be $10 for adults and $3 for children.

Summer Camps – BC definitely and potentially Stonehill tournaments and others. Check your emails for further information. Steve Doherty will make arrangement for the BC camp.

Summer League – There will be 2 varsity level teams, 2 JV level teams and a freshman team. This is a fun way to keep the team playing together and a ball in their hands!

Fall AAU Team – Coach Leighton may coach an AAU team out of Mass Premier in the fall for girls that do not participate in a FHS fall sport. This is at the Junior/Senior level. He is allowed to coach only a few girls from FHS per MIAA rules.

Next meeting will be held in August – Please come – All players parents are WELCOME!!
