WelcomeFranklin Lady Panthers Booster Club11/2/09 Meeting Minutes Agenda Items: * Financials/Budget o Budget - Starting cash balance for 2009-10 season is $681. Preliminary budget projects total revenue of $9,710, total expenses of $7,523 and an ending cash balance of $2,868. o Program book - Projected revenue from the Program Book is $4,000. We have collected $1,100 to date from advertising sponsors. We reviewed list of 2009 advertisers and assigned volunteers to contact them about renewing their sponsorship. Rob will resend forms in mass email to encourage more solicitation of sponsors. o Tagging – We have reserved Superbowl weekend at S&S, DD (one by Wrentham line), Post Office (Sat only) and possibly at Meathouse. Also, we may tag at Shaws on the weekend 2 weeks prior to the Superbowl. * Nov Clinic Update o Clinic to be held Nov 11th from 1-4pm at HS Fieldhouse. It is listed on Franklin website and is for girls only in grades 2-8. Only one sign-up so far. * Fund Raiser Update/Ideas o Raffle Card – the group discussed selling raffle cards likely for $5 that automatically enters you into a raffle at home games in Jan/Feb. Cash prize of $50 per drawing. Each girl will be responsible for selling 10 cards. This is a successful fund raiser used by the volleyball team. o Gold and Silver sale – to be held likely later in year or possibly as part of a parent mixer night out. o Parent mixer night – organize a night out for parents to meet and get to know each other better - also serve as a fundraiser o 50/50 raffles at games o Sox tickets raffle a possibility * Pizza Night o To be held on Monday, Dec 7th at 7pm or following scrimmage o Several volunteered to help – Jen, Donna, Sharon, Christine, Barbara, Cheryl o It was suggested that parents can bring desserts o Team picture will be taken * Notes from John o There will be a pre-season meeting with time/place tbd o Pre-season schedule: @ Walpole on Friday 12/4 for V and JV Fontbonne on Monday 12/7 for V, JV and possibly Fr * Misc o Play-by-play and videotape – need volunteer? o Website design – can we improve design? Any volunteers with talent and expertise to do this? * Next Meeting: Monday Nov 16th o will discuss program book, pizza night and parents night out |
