Visual Communications I

In your lifetime, you will watch millions of television commercials and countless movies and other forms of visual communications--from sales presentations, training tapes, educational videos and others. Videos are becoming the industry standard to introduce new products to potential customers. Become part of this exciting way to communicate. This introductory course will use an interdisciplinary approach to learning. Students will utilize some of the newest versions of multimedia authoring/editing systems. Through a series of hands-on lessons incorporating computers, digital and video cameras, students will learn to create, import and link text, graphics, sound, CD-ROM audio, animations, video and QuickTime movies into dynamic presentations and multimedia reports. Students will be able to design, build, and customize visually impressive movies using IMovie, Adobe PhotoShop Elements, and other software programs.
