"I learned this, at least, by my experiment: that if one advances confidently in the direction of his dreams, and endeavors to live the life which he had imagined, he will meet with a success unexpected in common hours."
Henry David Thoreau, Walden, or Life in the Woods
Welcome to Ms. Fortuna's online window into grades 11 and 12 academic classes. Each student faces challenges, sets goals, and grows significantly from September to June: part of this is the natural transition in physical, emotional, and psychological development, and part of this is the cognitive growth that happens as youth explore the world of critical literacy. This website will trace a path for parents/guardians, students, and the community as to Ms. Fortuna's theories of pedagogy and instructional practices.
