**IN AN ATTEMPT TO HELP THE STUDENTS BECOME MORE INDEPENDENT, DAILY ASSIGNMENTS WILL NO LONGER BE POSTED ON THIS PAGE. LONG-TERM, SIGNIFICANT ASSIGNMENTS, HOWEVER, WILL STILL BE POSTED.

1. Continue independent reading and corresponding Reading Log entries. The book and three Log pages must be completed by 6/4 (B) or 6/5 (C&D).

2. Look over sample of song lyrics and "blurb" for optional song lyric assignment.

3. Complete "Prologue" assignment:
a. Read the excerpt from "Romeo and Juliet."
b. Look up any words you do not know.
c. Write down any information you can glean from the passage.
d. Count the number of syllables in each line and write the number down.
e. Assign each sound at the end of each line a letter.
