Bienvenidos a la clase de ESPANOL I



In chapters 1-2, students will be exposed to the Spanish speaking world with the major focus being Spain. They will begin to learn about the spanish phonetic system, greetings, numbers, colors and alphabet. Spanish I students will also learn to talk about their likes and dislikes.

BIENVENIDOS A SPANISH II-HONORS

We have left Spain and now are situated in Mexico for the next two chapters (3 & 4). In these chapters students will learn to talk about their daily routines at home and in school. They will learn about the Spanish conquest of the Aztecs, the legend of 2 volcanoes in the Valley of Mexico, Mexican holidays and foods, and the Mayan civilization. In addition students will learn about reflexive verbs and object pronouns.

Spanish IV/V Advance Placement

BIENVENIDOS

This course has also been designated an EEP course at Rhode Island College. Students enrolled in this course may elect to take it for college credit (3) as this is a dual enrollment course. For details, see me.

This year (2007-2008) we will be studying the genres of Gabriel García Márquez,Jorge Luís Borges and Miguel de Unamuno.
