Current Event Grading Rubric The current event assignment
is worth 100 points Everyone starts with 75
points. You can earn or lose points based on your completion of the following
five criteria: _____1.) A Website evaluation form was completed (all
blanks must be filled in) and the source is current and reliable (.org, .gov or .edu). _____2.) The paragraph is neatly presented (typed),
the article is attached to the paragraph and the subject matter
is appropriate. _____3.) Student has an organized, thoughtful essay
with a minimum
of 10 sentences. _____4.) Student demonstrates his/her understanding
of the article in the
paragraph summary. _____5.) Student’s work reflects appropriate
attention to grammar, spelling, capitalization and
punctuation. Each of the above criteria
are worth 5 points you will earn points according to the following scale: ü
