In chapters 28-29, we learn something about the process of shopping in ancient Rome. If you'd like to learn something more about where and how the Romans shopped, go here.

In ch. 31, the question often arises about the value of Roman coins (How good a negotiator was Pseudolus? How frugal was Aurelia?) If this interests you, consult this site,
    or this one.

If you'd like a quick review of the rules for scanning Latin lines of poetry, visit this Guide.

This site on Scansion is a little more detailed.

If you're looking for more background on any aspect of Roman History, use the link on the left.
