Dear Parent/Guardian:

 

Your son/daughter has expressed interest in skiing/snowboarding at Mount Sunapee as a member of the Horace Mann Middle School Ski/Snowboard Club.  We have one trip planned:

 

Saturday, January 23^th, 2010

 

 

Please pay special attention to the required paperwork:

 

• All students must have the Horace Mann Middle School Ski Club Permission Form filled out with parent signature.
• Rental, Liability Release and Consent Agreement forms need to be filled out where indicated. ( only if you are renting).
• A check is required, and it must be payable to the Town of Franklin.
• Your child must ride the bus both ways. Please do not ask for special arrangements.
• This is a ski and snowboard trip only. Your child will not be able to rent a snow tube, etc.

 

Refunds will not be provided. Participation in the ski club is directly related to one’s behavior as outlined in the Horace Mann Student Handbook. Please note this is a club activity, therefore a school nurse will not be present. First aid is available on the mountain. There may be a parent driver with us, in case there is a need to visit the hospital. Middle school faculty members and parents will serve as chaperones. If you are interested in chaperoning, please send a note in to Mrs. Ackley or Mr. Kelley. If you have indicated by email or by writing before, your interest to chaperone, please send another note in with the attached forms. There is limited scholarship money, please see Mrs. Ackley.
