The ISTE, International Society for Technology in Education, has been the model for all schools in developing education technology standards. In addition, the Department of Education for the state of Massachusetts has a draft version of technology skills that all students should master before graduating. Here in Franklin, we have combined these standards with our own and are in the process of developing education technology standards for grades K – 12. These standards provide benchmarks for teachers and administrators to use to ensure that Franklin students graduate with the technology skills needed to succeed in the 21st century. Below are links to the national and state standards. We hope to have our local standards available by the end of this school year. Massachusetts
