beyond the basic animal instinct
______venture -- willing to take a risk; willing to brave the dangers of
sometimes in order to survive
______pantry—a shelving storage area that holds supplies of food for
use in the future
_____maggots—legless, soft-bodied, worm-like creatures in the larvae stage that are often found in decaying matter
_____looting –to remove items from a place (home/ store); stealing
goods at a time when there is no law and no order
______volatile--highly explosive
____chide--to scold
____harried---distressed because overwhelmed by repeated requests or obligations
