HERE IS BIG BERTHA IN CASE YOU CAN NOT FIND YOUR PAPER!!

Big Bertha drifts in from the dark, her wings spread wide like a bird in flight. It’s mealtime, and the mammoth manta with a wingspan of 14 feet has come to manta village to dine.

In the beams of divers’ evening lights, the mantas’ feast of microscopic plankton looks like snowflakes swirling below the surface of the sea. Waterborne ballerinas, the creatures circle and spin in a beautifully choreographed feeding ritual.

Unlike sharks, however, mantas don’t have teeth; they are filter feeders, meaning that instead of teeth, they catch their food via a complex system of filters in their mouths.
Although they look like big, eerie phantoms, Wing said in reality they are “completely harmless; they have no barbs or venomous stingers and they do not bite.
