Welcome to English in the 7th grade!! I look forward to the coming year with you. Some advanced information... Within the first two days of the new school year, students in my class will be bringing home a handout on the General Policies and Procedures in my English classroom. It will require parent signatures. On it there is a section regarding materials for the class. Knowing that many students purchase supplies prior to the start of the year, I wanted to include that information here. I hope you find this helpful. "In the 7th grade, the students Reading and Language Arts classes merge into one English class. Each students will need one '3 subject notebook' to be used SOLELY for English class. This will greatly help them organize all their notes and information." The sections should be organized as follows: - Section 1 will be for NOTES - Section 2 will be for READING - Section 3 will be for WRITING (s)he should also have a pocket folder for English handouts as well as other materials.
