Our next meeting will be held on Friday, February 17th at 8:30am in the Horace Mann Library. Tom Mercer, Chairman of the School Building Committee, and Jeff Nutting, Town Administrator will be joining us to present information on the new Franklin High School Building project. We hope to see you there!

Other News and Updates:
April is Food Pantry Month for Horace Mann Middle School. HMMS will be collecting donations during the month of April. Please send in donations and drop them in the bin located by the main office. List of current needs include: Cleaning Products, Laundry, Dish, All Purpose,Paper Products, Toilet Paper, Kleenex, Paper Towels, Feminine,Health & Beauty, Canned Meat / Fish, Broth / Beef Soup / Dry Soup, Canned Pasta (chef boyardeeish), Baked Beans, Potatoes, Cereal, Chili / Taco / Meal Helpers, Condiments / Dressings, Flavored Rice and/or Pasta Side Dishes, Baking Mixes and/or Spices. Thank you for making a difference!

This month the PCC has funded enrichment activities for 6th graders. The program included a presentation given by Fun with Science and the Egyptian Lady.

In January, the PCC voted to take steps to become a 501c3 organization. Please stay tuned for more information.

Winter Carnival-March 11, 12:00 – 4:00 pm at the Franklin High School Field House. Please stop by with your families!

Yearbooks are coming! Look for a flyer coming home with the students this week. All books will be ordered online at www.ybpay.com. Parents should click on the “locate state” section, then town, and then find our school and from there follow the instructions for ordering a book. Payments are made by credit or debit card.

Fundraising:
The Cookie Dough Fundraiser is underway! Order these delicious products by February 14th. 40% of the money raised will go directly to the PCC to support enrichment programs, social events and field trips. Cookie Dough Pick Up Date will be scheduled in April.

Send in your Box Tops by Friday February 17th. Remember, the advisor group with the most box tops collected will win a celebration! To view a list of all participating products, go to www.btfe.com.

Don’t forget to register online for our Stop & Shop fundraiser! Go to www.stopandshop.com/aplus. You can register or re-register using your Stop & Shop number (on your card) and inputting the Horace Mann id: 07095.

The Yard Sale Committee is finalizing their plans to “sell tables” for interested sellers. The Yard Sale is scheduled in May. A committee of interested parents was formed at our October meeting. We will be updating you soon. If you would like to participate and volunteer, please contact a Board Member.

Thank you to all the parents who donated refreshments and who helped out at the Movie Night. The students had a great time.
