Horace Mann Middle School Grade 7 Health Mr. Bositis 2008-2009 Dear Parent or Guardian, As we begin a new year, we would like to inform you of the policies, procedures, and topics of our seventh grade health class. We will be working on age appropriate topics contained in the Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks.
Topics To Be Covered Reproduction Nutrition Substance Use and Abuse Class Expectations
Be on time for class. The student is expected to conduct him or herself in a respectful and responsible manner Have a binder with a Health section and pocket. Be prepared for class each day (materials, homework, binder). Work should be neatly written or typed. When you have been absent or at sectionals, it is your responsibility to meet with the teacher to make up the missed work. Take care of any property that is on loan to you. Homework is to be completed on time. Standards for written work
All questions of the day and paragraphs are required to have a topic sentence, three supporting details and a clincher sentence. Answer all written work in complete sentences, restating the question as part of the answer. All written work must be neat and have proper spelling. The students may type paragraphs, but typing is not required. Grading Policies
