Dear Parents and Guardians,

On behalf of the Jefferson Elementary Parent Communication Council, Inc. (“PCC), welcome to the 2011-2012 school year. The PCC is a charitable not-for-profit corporation comprised of parents and teachers who are committed to enriching the educational and social environment for our children.

Did you know?

  • For every student in grades 1 through 5, the PCC pays for a field trip – including admission price and busing charges.

  • Night of the Arts is the culmination of the PCC’s Artist In Residence Program. As you walk in the lobby of the school, there are many examples of the artwork that was completed during the program in prior years. The wood sculpture of the Dog, the origami sign, just to name two of them.

  • We also bake, rake, paint, tally lunch, copy, donate to other charities, take pictures, organize book fairs, help in the library, fundraise and so much more!

We have many exciting events planned for this school year. However, the PCC cannot do these with YOU! Please check the Volunteer Opportunities section of this website for a complete listing of Committee’s and the Volunteer Sign-Up Sheet. Committee’s need volunteers during the day, afterschool and on weekends. There are many ways to get involved.

I look forward to meeting and working with you over the next year. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me.

Sincerely,

Kelly Schiavo, PCC President
