History

Social Studies

In third grade, the social studies curriculum focuses on the history of Massachusetts. Students will learn the geography of the state. We will study the Pilgrims through a simulation of life on the Mayflower and building the Plimouth settlement. Famous people and events in Massachusetts' history will be researched. In addition to learning about the state we live in, students will begin their study of the United States by learning the states and capitals.
