Policies

Third Grade Policies

  • All third graders are responsible for recording their daily homework assignments on their assignment sheet or notebook.

  • Homework is intended to take approximately 30 minutes to complete when students are focused and working diligently.

  • Spelling words, math facts, and states and capitals should be studied each week and committed to memory.

  • Students should read for 15 minutes, 5 out of 7 days each week and record this reading on their calendar. Calendars should be signed by a parent and returned to school at the end of each month.

  • Students who wish to celebrate their birthdays with a special snack should check with their teacher to choose the best date and check for food allergies.

  • If you have a question about any of the 3rd grade policies, please contact your child's teacher.
