Goals of the Parent Communication Council


The Goals and Objectives of the PCC

  • Promoting and improving the educational environment of the Kennedy School by working for common goals which benefit the children and the school.
  • Exchanging ideas and acting as a resource group.
  • Forming a close relationship so parents and teachers may cooperate effectively for the academic, social and physical development of the children.
  • Working with the community for the best interest of the Kennedy School children.
  • Raising money for special programs, activities or improvements within the school.

Enrichment Programs

Based upon the success of our fundraising efforts, the PCC sponsors the following enrichment programs:

  • An artist for the fourth grade Tile Project
  • Grade-appropriate enrichment programs (see calendar)
  • All the busing for each grades' field trips
  • Teacher appreciation activities
  • Teacher reimbursement program
  • Sports day
  • Fifth grade end of year celebration
  • Teacher grants
  • Partners in Education
  • Other activities that are brought to the table by parents or teachers

All additional requests to the proposed budget should be submitted in writing. These requests must be in at least one month before the meeting at which you want it voted upon.
