Welcome to Mr. Lee's webpage!

Hello!
I began working at the Kennedy School as the school psychologist
in 1998, after graduating from Tufts University with a Masters Degree in
School Psychology. Prior to that, I had worked in various mental health
settings, which has provided me with a helpful background for my current
position. Being the school psychologist of the Kennedy School, my job is
to help students overcome emotional obstacles to their education. I have
several roles: As counselor, I meet with students both individually and
in peer groups, to discuss concerns that they may bring to school,
including peer issues, behavioral problems, managing stress, family/home
difficulties, and any type of problem that may affect students' emotional
well-being and adjustment. I am also on the Special Education Team that
evaluates students for disabilities, which may qualify them for special
education services. I am currently serving as one of the consultants for
the Open Circle Social Competency Program at the Kennedy School, a
wonderful program that invites students in all classrooms to learn and
practice positive social behavior as well as discuss and solve social
problems. I have led Open Circle Parent Workshops in the past and will
likely do so again as interest rises. Finally, I coordinate the Building
Based Support Team, which meets on a regular basis to discuss students
having difficulties and develops action plans to remedy those difficulties.

On a more personal note, some of you may already know that I love music.
I think music is a wonderfully fulfilling way for people to express
themselves and connect with others, even if just by listening to it and
sharing that experience. I enjoy playing music on the guitar, piano, and
mandolin, and singing songs with friends.

If you have any problems you would like to discuss, please feel free to
contact me. Many of you have seen me outside school in the morning
greeting students and parents as they come into the building. I enjoy
being able to see all the wonderful students we have here at Kennedy!
Maybe I will have the privilege of working with some of you in the future.
