About Mrs. Casey

Welcome to Franklin Public Schools’

Welcome to Franklin Public Schools’

Kindergarten Programs

The kindergarten curriculum aligns with the Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks and Franklin Public School System’s Curriculum Guides.

The goal of our full-day kindergarten is to address the curriculum areas and teach them thoroughly.  Our full-day programs allow each child time to enhance his/her social development, make discoveries, and explore

through enriching learning activities.  This kindergarten experience is the cornerstone of his/her education.

Kindergarten Philosophy

The Franklin Public Schools’ kindergarten programs provide safe, nurturing environments where children can grow socially, emotionally, and academically.  Rich learning experiences are created to encourage children to reach their fullest potential.  A developmental approach, using concrete and multi-sensory materials, is utilized to facilitate individual learning styles and foster a positive self-image.

A community is created within each classroom where all children are encouraged to express ideas, feelings, and opinions while respecting the diversity of others.  These essential kindergarten components provide the framework for children to become life long learners.
