THIS PAST WEEK (April 23 – April 27) WE:

  • Introduced the letter Qq
  • Painted Qq’s with Q-tips
  • Introduced the high-frequency words one and little
  • After reading Come Along, Daisy!, we drew about the problem and solution within the story
  • After reading the poem, Bear in There by Shel Silverstein, we drew about something we might find in our refrigerators
  • We used stick puppets to retell the story, 5 Little Ducks
  • Made world necklaces out of potting soil
  • Played the math game Hidden Sticks
  • Created a math storybook by writing number stories using pictures, number models, and words
  • We are in the process of turning our dramatic play area into, Longhorn Restaurant
