My Wish List ( to the tune of White Christmas)

Seventh grade students learn to draw, draw, draw! We focus on proportion, scale, the sighting method and learning to truly LOOK HARD at things to see subtlety. Focusing on value, students do a number of exercises based on the work of George Suerat's preliminary sketches for some of his masterpieces. They then work on using value to describe a face, sometimes their own.
Perspective/ Surrealism Project

Students will learn how to draw a realistic view of a space using linear perspective. They will then create a work based on Surrealism.
Reinforce your classroom activities with this online overview of linear perspective.
Find out how Leonardo DaVinci used the same methods you are learning in class.
You can research surrealism on the websiteArtcyclopedia.
