The annual period for open burning of brush will begin on
January 15, 2008 and extend to May 1, 2008.
Anyone interested in obtaining a permit to burn brush
should go Fire Headquarters
600 King Street to obtain a permit.


Once you have obtained a permit you must
receive permission to burn each day you would like to burn
by calling the fire department with your permit number.
Citizens with a burning permit and prior permission may burn
from 10 AM to 4 PM. Permission to begin burning
will not be issued after noon.

WE'RE MOVING HEADQUARTERS
TEMPORARILY

Effective February 28, 2007 the department will be temporarily moving
to accommodate the new Headquarters building project.
Emergency operations will continue from the King Street Fire Station,
response to the downtown and north portions of the Town will be from a temporary
fire station located at 269 Fisher Street. Administrative offices (Fire Chief, Deputy Fire Chief,
Ambulance Billing and Business office) will be at 150 Emmons Street.
Plans and permits can be dropped off and picked up at 600 King Street.
