Franklin Postcards At the turn of the century, many postcards were commissioned by local businesses and organizations to promote the town of Franklin. Through the work of these anonymous photographers, much of the beauty and history of Franklin has been captured for all to enjoy. We especially thank Carolyn Wiedemann who has graciously shared her personal collection of Franklin postcards and Del Arnold from the Franklin Historical Commission who has organized, scanned and provided the comments you will see in this collection. These post card images have also been printed in 8 X 10 format and are available for viewing in an album at the Horace Mann Museum located on Washington Street at Colt Road in Franklin. Admission is free and the museum is open every Sunday afternoon 1:30 to 5:30 from Memorial Day through September. We have over 100 postcards in the collection and will be adding them to this site over the next few weeks. Check back often to see the latest additions.
