Register for a New QuickSite AccountPlease complete the following form. When you submit the form, it will send your request to the Franklin Web Committee. IF YOU HAVE AN ACCOUNTand want to modify the information (access to additional pages, changes, etc.) please DO NOT REGISTER AGAIN! Please send a note to the webmaster who will notify you when the changes have been made. We will get you a response as soon as possible. Please consider all supplied information public information.

QuickSite Usage Policy
Content:
The accuracy of content within your QuickSite is the responsibility of the author and their organization. Please make sure your content is correct and current to the best of your ability. Please proofread your grammar, spelling and punctuation. Please write clearly and concisely using simple English.It is the responsibility of the author and their organization to have and hold the rights to all content and images placed in your QuickSite pages. You are responsible for all copyright laws. You must be very judicious when posting any information about minors. You may be required to obtain parental or custodial approvals prior to releasing such information - you must make the determination and obtain the approvals. Furthermore, you must be at least thirteen years of age to post your own content directly into QuickSite.
We expect you will use good judgment and taste in the authoring and design of your QuickSite pages. We expect you to demonstrate respect for all audiences with your content. We do not allow vulgar language, in appropriate images, nor any other content inappropriate for family and community audiences. We expect you to use your judgment - effectively eliminating the need for any intrusion or review by the Franklin Web Committee.
Businesses will be limited to a one page QuickSite.
Content Review and Approvals:
Every addition, edit, or delete you make is immediately live on the internet. As you have been approved to edit directly on the Franklin Web Site within the boundaries of your QuickSite. Review of your content will be handled by an exception only mechanism. In other words, if complaints or issues arise after your content is published, only then will it be subject to review by the Franklin Web Committee and at the discretion of the Franklin Web Committee. The Franklin Web Committee maintains the final right to add, modify, or delete to any and all pages at its sole judgment.Many QuickSites are created to specifically represent information of an organization. Should that organization raise any issues regarding the content posted by any of their authors, the organization's concerns will be heavily weighted in any actions taken by the Franklin Web Committee - generally over the concerns of the direct author. It is always preferred that any discrepancies between the author and the organization be managed within the processes of that organization.
The Franklin Web Committee further maintains the right to terminate privileged access rights to any author, organization at its sole discretion.
Privacy:
The Franklin Web Site is managed by a volunteer committee under the umbrella of the Town of Franklin. As such, the Franklin Web Committee believes it is subject to all laws pertaining to such public institutions. Because of the Freedom of Information Act, you should regard all information you supply to the Franklin Web Committee either directly or through the Internet as public information unless specifically protected by privacy laws; such as personal medical or financial data.Backup and Availability:
As the web committee is a volunteer organization for the benefit of the citizens of Franklin, MA; there are no guarantees. There is a simple backup mechanism in place, but it is incomplete. The Franklin Web Committee does not have sufficient funding to operate a production environment. If you consider the information in your QuickSite critical to your organization, you should backup your own web content as you make changes. It is unlikely that we will loose your content, but it is clearly possible.The web site is currently hosted with an Internet Service Provider (ISP). We have experienced complete and partial loss of availability from time to time. We do not guarantee it will be available as there are many possible sources for failure such as human error and technology problems. The Franklin Web Committee monitors the site's availability and works closely with the ISP when problems arise. Additionally, the QuickSite application is a custom application created by volunteers of the Franklin Web Committee and as such there are no warranties as to its functionality and you use it at your own risk.
